IMAGEABLE POLYMER PRODUCT LINE
PSI-Imagable Polymer Products

Kyle Stogsdill (COO) of Photo Sciences, Inc. (PSI) located in Torrance, California announces the addition of photo-imageable polymer products to PSI's extensive line of micro-lithography products.

These new imageable color polymers will be supported by Photo Sciences’ Advanced Patterning Group (APG) headed by industry veteran Mike McMullen, Product Development Engineer. Mr. McMullen said that "PSI is working with several companies and educational institutions to offer substrates coated with photo-imageable color polymers. We have successfully created polymer images as small as 2.0 micron in a laboratory environment and we are confident that features this size can eventually be achieved in a manufacturing mode".

McMullen added, "Some of the potential applications for this product-line include, but are not limited to: optical interconnects, waveguides, CCD filters, high storage low form factor capacitors, holographic storage media, micro-channels for the micro fluidics industry of drug delivery and lab on a chip applications."

Regarding future development of this product, Kyle Stogsdill commented, "We are looking forward to being a part of migrating this product line from a lab environment to a high-volume commercial application.  Photo Sciences is excited about this new product and is comfortable in its role as a technology innovator, willing to invest time and resources working with the industry to go from conception to standardized manufacturing.

ANNOUNCEMENT OF ISO 9001:200 REGISTRATION
PSI-ISO9001:2000

On March 22, 2004, Photo Sciences achieves ISO 9001:2000 Registration. The announcement was made by Cyndi Walder, PSI's Director of Quality Assurance. "Obtaining ISO Registration really demonstrates PSI management's dedication to quality", Ms. Walder stated in a recent interview. “Passing the ISO audit lets our customers know how much we are committed to providing them with a continually improving value proposition. From the outset, we encouraged our employees to make contributions. All PSI personnel were instructed on the ISO standard so that any employee present and in the future could recommend improvement, which has led to many achievements; one being an increased sense of pride and ownership for the products we produce. Our policy is ‘Quality first and delivery on time, every time’ -and we mean it.”

While obtaining ISO Registration is crucial, a smooth audit during registration is viewed by the entire company as the best possible way to communicate where consistency in quality is the highest standard Photo Sciences could offer its customers.
